Orthodontic treatment is not only a treatment where teeth are aligned. Patient’s age, facial structure, side view and smile line is also considered in the treatment plan. If the patient is in the adolescence/puberty period, growth prediction is made for the future.
If there are prosthetic procedures necessary to be performed after orthodontic treatment in adult orthodontics, planning will be made before orthodontic treatment and prediction is made after prosthesis.
The case is planned by taking into consideration patient’s age, mouth hygiene and habits such as clenching-bruxism and individual orthodontic treatment appliances are selected.
